Gloria Jeans—
Creating a new
coffee day.

Brief

Retail Food Group (RFG), owners of the Gloria Jean's Coffee Australia approached and engaged BrandWorks to conceptualise and design 10 concept stores and kiosks of the future. The Gloria Jeans Coffee brand was in the process of being redesigned and repositioned and Gloria Jeans Coffee Australia required an update to their store customer experiences to align with their new look and feel. This included developing a flagship store in both store and kiosk formats, to set the benchmark for the Gloria Jeans’ Coffee experience of the future.

Solution

BrandWorks designed and presented 10 concept Gloria Jeans Coffee stores and kiosks of the future, categorised into three overarching themes - Home, Sustainability and Craftmanship. Each concept detailed a concept idea, USP, mood boards, mud maps, floor plans and elevations, 3D wireframes, materiality and furniture schedules and photo realistic renders and fly-thru videos. 6 were shortlisted and further developed to include layering and way finding. All 6 were then sent for research and focus group review. This included a flagship design in both store and kiosk format. A preferred concept was selected to become a popup to showcase the brand’s new direction for the RFG’s annual Franchise convention.

A new era in coffee now awaits.
