About the role
The role will see the successful candidate working across a diverse range of projects on a casual/project or part-time basis, producing interior concepts, selecting furniture & finishes, liaising with suppliers and working closely with the branding team to produce signage and wayfinding. The role requires unique solutions to design problems. You’ll never be bored and there will always be a fun challenge along the way as no two projects are the same.
We’re looking for a designer who can take ideas and turn them into tangible designs that exceed client expectations. With excellent communication skills, you know the right questions to ask and you have incredible attention to detail and have great planning skills. You have a great technical knowledge of interior design from something as small as joinery to something as large as construction and tender packs.
You are a conceptual thinker who develops a diverse range of compelling creative ideas. You have the ability to think strategically as well as aesthetically. You are culturally engaged and have a confident handle on trends and forecasts. You also have a good understanding and awareness of technical, council and legal requirements for interior design.
We have a great team that all brings something unique to the table with varying experience. The role requires someone who is willing to work quickly and also take the time to collaborate and pass on their knowledge.
